Yes, it was something Amazing. Here is the back story.
I was taking my Beautiful Girlfriend to her house after my mothers birthday afternoon meal. It had been a great day, and I was in the last traffic light before going into the neighbourhood. It was a left turn in the biggest, most congested avenue of the city, so it was a pretty long wait. We were just talking and joking around, until we hear sirens coming from the street of the right side that came to intersect the avenue. Thanks to all the occurrences in my hometown, we know that when he hear sirens, we shut up, listen closely, pay damn had attention, and grab each others hand. What we saw was a Sate patrol brand new Dodge Ram Quad cab with 2 guys in the back absolutely blasting through traffic.
It was exactly like the truck pictured above. It was carrying 2 armoured to the teeth soldiers with all the equipment, standing in the bed clinging for dear life. This was the intersection where they came into our view, and when everything went horribly wrong.
As you can see, the truck came out throughout the street where the little yellow and red "Oxxo" store is. We were on the outermost lane, waiting for the left turn green light about halfway through the block. Perfect view of what happened. As I saw the truck turning towards the street we were in, the back end let loose. Being a RWD HEMI powered Ram, it started drifting to the left. As the truck turned, the driver applied opposite lock while the back guards applied lock with their hands to the back tubes of the bed.
As the inertia of the truck shifted to the right, the rear guards couldn't hold no more, and their bodies bashed the other side of the truck. A soldiers head crashing with the tube from the other side, and both of them rolling in the bed as if they were a bag of potatoes. The driver now, could not control the counter drift, and crashed straight into the wall of the Holiday Inn at the right, making the front bush guard part of the truck itself. The soldiers at the back had received the worst pounding of their lives, and the urge to get to the place was probably pointless by now.
This isn't the accident I saw, but this photo shows amazingly the same damage as the Ram I witnessed suffered.
Thankfully, no one seemed to be seriously injured. But everyone around watched in amazement as the truck lost control, hit the wall, and the soldiers were left hanging from the back of the truck, all at the expense of getting there quickly. Stay safe out there guys, a couple of minutes can make a huge difference.

Sucks about the truck...
But seeing an armored-up Ram in full Oppo must've been a sight to see!

It was AMAZING, at first I though: "If he can keep the drift, I just will leave my jaw on the floor, theres no point picking it up." Then, it was pretty predictable, though when the soldier hit the post. Auch, I cringed and was about to run to the truck to help him out.

Man the federales I saw in Mexico didn't have as nice a truck as that, I think they had some type of Tacoma or something.

I'd have to applaud that driver if kept that drift going. Skills to the max!
All I can imagine is this going through an intersection
Just with more tire squealing and armor.

If I had seen that, even I'd be screaming "card verde!" Luckily the only color handed out was probably a pink slip for the ill-fated driver.

It probably depends where is the area. For example here in Tamaulipas, they started buying pickups and pickups of the big three to work as the new "Police". So yeah, eventually, the ones running around in Tsurus will be replaced by these:

Hahah I couldn't find a picture of a standard Ram Drifting! But yeah, it started exactly like that, but in the public streets, then it veered to the opposite side violently, and the wall was there to welcome it.

Thanks a lot! It would've been damn scary to call my mom and say an armoured Ram hit the puny little rodent that is Oliver. Muy Buena, muy buena. Gracias!

Oh, to my amazement, the driver didn't even urge to go to the back. He took his time, opened the door, and lifted his two legs one by one to see probably if the coke he left in the back hadn't been damaged. As an afterthought, he saw if there were no humans left behind.

Holy shit that sounds insane! I'm surprised the guys in the back of the truck didn't get thrown and killed.
Sounds like everyone got pretty lucky.

They did. I mean, for what they pay them, they risk their lives for us with not much in return.
